Disney World - Day 5

Epcot Day and our last day at Disney World!

The one thing about staying at the Beach Club is that it is an Epcot Resort...this is one of the reasons we have enjoyed staying there for the past 3 trips we have taken.  It is about a 5 minute walk to the International Gateway entrance of Epcot.  You enter the park through the World Showcase.  I've always loved that about the Beach Club.

Since we entered the park in the World Showcase, we had to walk to the front of the park for the park opening.  Michael and Zachary had plans to head to Soarin'...this ride is awesome.  It's another ride you have to get to early, get fast passes and then get in the stand by line because you will want to ride it more than once.  So, they headed to Soarin' to get the Fast Passes and they rode it.

Taylor had big plans.  She needed to meet Tinkerbell while she was wearing Tink's costume.  So, her and I headed to Pixie Hollow and waited for Tink to come out.  We were the second family in line and had to wait for 30 minutes for her to come out to meet everyone.  Since it is the International Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot, there were several topiaries around Tink's meet and greet area...so, we had to take photos of those too.

Here is Taylor with the Tinkerbell topiary.

Iridessa was also at the Tinkerbell meet and greet. So, Taylor was able to meet both of them at the same time. Tinkerbell went on and on about how Taylor and her were twins because they were dressed alike. It was really cute.

After meeting Tink and Iridessa, Taylor and I made our way to Soarin'.  It was almost time for our Fast Passes to be valid, so we waited and then rode Soarin' together.  As soon as we got off the ride, Taylor was ready to ride it again, so we grabbed another set of Fast Passes for later.

Then, we decided to make our way to Test Track.  It was close to an hour wait.  We decided to get in line and make our way through.  The kids do not like waiting in long lines.  Can you tell they are thrilled?  The ride was fun!

We stopped and had lunch and then headed back to the World Showcase.  The kids signed up for Team Possible...the Kim Possible missions around Epcot...so we were off to save the world!

I stopped and took photos of several of the topiaries along the way.  Love the Peter Pan one!

The next was Sleeping Beauty on one side of the sidewalk and on the other side was Cinderella.

The kids and Michael listening to their Kim Possible clue in France.

We had to stop near the Beauty and Beast topiary.  Love the Cogsworth topiary.  So cute!

The Aladdin topiary.

Lady and the Tramp.  Loved this one...look at Lady's ears.

We are big fans of Tangled!

Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs Topiary.

The Lion King was another favorite!  Love the colors.

Michael and the kids in China and on another Team Possible mission.

After we had done all we could to save the world, we turned in our communicator and went through the boat ride in Mexico.

After that, the kids wanted to go back to the Nemo Clam Shells.

While we were there, Zachary wanted to go to Mission: Space and ride that.  So, he and Michael headed in that direction and Taylor and I stayed and looked at the fish.

We left Epcot and decided to go back to the Beach Club and have dinner at Beaches and Cream.  It is an old-fashion ice cream shop.  They have really good burgers...much better than what you get at the counter service places.  You can also order the Kitchen Sink...an unbelievable amount of ice cream that comes in a kitchen sink!  We ordered it a few years ago..it was delicious, but you need several adults to actually eat it.  This time, we ordered cheeseburgers and then had sundaes for dessert!

After dinner, it was time to head back to our room to pack up and get ready for the next part of our trip...a 3-day cruise on the new Disney Dream!
