Disney World - Day 2

On our second day at Disney World (this was our first morning to wake up there), we headed to Hollywood Studios. Our favorite ride is there...Toy Story Mania. In order to ride this ride, you have to get there before the park opens and quickly make your way to the ride. Fast Passes run out quickly and the Stand-By line gets long really fast.

When we were walking up to the park gate, Michael noticed our shadows...love the kids shadows with their Mickey ears on.

So, in order to get the most from Toy Story Mania, someone needs to go quickly at rope drop and get the Fast Pass tickets. Michael was the one who did this. So during the park opening show, he made his way through the crowd to get as close to the rope drop as he could. The kids and I just moved with the rest of the crowd to get to Toy Story. By the time the kids and I made it to the ride, Michael was pretty close to getting our Fast Passes and the kids and I got in the Stand-By line and waited for him to join us. When we made it to the entrance of the ride (just to go inside the building), it was already a 45 minute wait and the park hadn't been opened that long.

After winding our way through the line inside, we finally came up to the talking Mr. Potato Head. Just a few more minutes of waiting in line before we would get to the stairs and actually be able to see the ride loading area.

After riding Toy Story, Zachary wanted to ride the Tower of Terror.

Taylor wanted no part of that ride, so her and I looked in a few stores and got a drink and set down and relaxed for a minute.

Almost an hour later, Zachary and Michael came out. They had not rode the ride. The library portion of the ride had scared Zachary and he was ready to leave at that point.

We were going to walk to Muppet Vision 3D when we saw several characters out by the big hat. The kids met Donald and Daisy and then noticed the hula hoops. Taylor is all about hula hooping and they needed to take a moment to play. Tigger had also been hula hooping.

After, we headed on to Muppet Vision and enjoyed the show.

Indiana Jones Stunt Show was next on our list and then we grabbed lunch. We used our Fast Pass to Toy Story Mania. After, we headed across the street to meet Woody.

After seeing Woody, the kids decided they needed a toy. They are now the proud owners of a little green alien from Toy Story (Zachary) and Lotso (Taylor). Since she got Lotso, we immediately had to go and find him to meet him.

By this time, it was time to go back towards the front and find a good spot for the Parade.

After the parade, we made our way back to the Back Lot Tour and then saw the "Lights, Motor, Action" car show.

Our day was winding down, but we still had reservations at 50s Prime Time Cafe for dinner before we could leave the park for the day.

Next up...a very crowded Monday at the Magic Kingdom.
