So, here we go...we started our Spring Break right away. We headed to St. Louis on Friday, March 18. The kids were able to get out of school just a little early...they missed recess. We flew out of St. Louis because it was less expensive than flying out of Springfield. On Saturday morning we flew out at 6:45 a.m. We had a quick layover in Atlanta and then made it into Orlando by noon. We made it through MCO fairly quickly and somehow were immediately put on a Disney bus without having to wait.
Taylor on the bus.

Zachary and Michael on the bus and on our way to the Beach Club resort!

We got to the Beach Club and after getting checked in, went up to our room. We had a pretty nice sized balcony that overlooked the water and volleyball court area. The only bad thing was that the resort was doing a few renovations and they were repainting the balconies and the trim, so there were several huge machines that were part of our view. Oh well!

The Beach Club is an Epcot resort. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the International Gateway of Epcot...where you enter the park in the World Showcase area. So, we headed over to Epcot for lunch at the Patisserie in the French Pavillion. Along the way, we saw Marie from The Aristocats.

Right now at Epcot, it is the International Flower and Garden Festival. Some of the most elaborate topiaries are all over the park. The first one that we saw was the Beauty and the Beast display in France.

After lunch, we made our way to the front of the park. The kids wanted to ride a few rides.
I loved the landscaping around this pond and how bright it was. We were taking photos and a nice woman came up and asked if she could take a photo of all of us.

The next big topiary we came to was the Lightning McQueen display.

The next thing we came to was Bambi's Butterfly house. It was pretty cool...lots of pretty flowers and butterflies flying all around us. The Bambi topiary was too cute!

Michael checked ride line waits on his phone and we decided the best things to do on Saturday was ride the Figment ride and then go to the Nemo ride. The kids love climbing on Bruce the Shark and having their picture taken. Every trip we have taken we have a picture of them inside Bruce's mouth...I think it will be fun to compare these pictures over the years.

Next, we saw this cute topiary of Mickey and the gang. Here is part of it.

We made our way to the front of the park so we could take the monorail to the Grand Floridian for dinner at 1900 Park Fare. The Toy Story topiary is at the front. It was so cute and smelled amazing.

This was the part of the trip that my camera started acting up. It didn't want to take photos unless the flash was off, so these photos turned out really yellow.
The step-sisters at 1900 were fun as always. Drizella pretended to have a crush on Zachary. He wasn't sure what to do. She gave him hugs and told him he was cute.

The Step-Mother.

Anastasia.

Cinderella.

Prince Charming.

After dinner, we went to the Polynesian Resort to watch the water light parade. I hadn't seen it since I was in college and Michael and the kids had never seen it. We thought about staying on the "beach" of the Poly to watch the Magic Kingdom's fireworks, but since we knew we were going to need to take a bus back to our resort from the Magic Kingdom, we decided to take the boat across from the Poly to the entrance area of MK to watch the fireworks. We were all pretty tired and thought it was best to get one step closer. I'm glad we did because I did get a pretty good firework photo of the front.

After the fireworks, it was time to head back to the Beach Club for bed and plan our day at Hollywood Studios.
