Aladdin Jr!!

For the past two weeks, Zachary and Taylor found their way to Agrabah. They were in the Teenie Genie camp at Springfield Little Theatre. This is the second summer that they have done a theatre camp at SLT. This year, they got to be a part of Aladdin Jr and really see what it takes to put on a musical production. They loved it! It was fun to hear their stories of what went on.

They played the part of "Diamonds"...all the Teenie Genies were either Diamonds or Stars...depending on their age. The diamonds were the older kids. They appeared on stage 3 times during the play...once at the beginning where they crept out onto the stage to sneak up on the "keeper of the lamp." The next time was during the musical number of "A Friend Like Me." They had dance moves and everything to go with that song. Then they came out at the end to sing "A Whole New World" with the entire cast.

It was amazing to see what all these kids could do in just 8 days. I saw the play 5 times in 2 days (I went to every production) and they were all so good. I have a feeling that these camps will become a summer tradition for Zachary and Taylor.

Such a fun time! I can't wait to see what plays will be performed next summer...the kids have already been asking!
