Bowling!

It was kind of a rainy day here on Saturday, so we decided to take the kids bowling. We went to Lighthouse Lanes...which was really nice. It is a religious-based bowling alley and there is no smoking or alcohol. Loved that we were able to go and have fun and not walk out smelling like an ashtray. We were the first ones there that day, so for a while, we had the whole alley to ourselves.

Here are a few photos!

I managed to get a few layouts done this weekend that were layouts just because I wanted to do them! Such a rare thing for me to get done in the summer. Seems like during the summer, I only have time for scrapbooking assignments and always fall a little behind. Felt good to get these two done. I actually went to Scrapbook Generation this weekend. I hadn't been in a scrapbook store in months. So, I bought some new paper and then had to do something immediately with them.

The first one is of Zachary in his Batman mask. I used Cosmo Crickets Cogsmo paper line. When I saw the quote, I knew I had to get the paper so I could use this photo. I did base this layout on Holly's August Challenge at Moments To Remember. You had to make a frame...so, I freehand-cut the frame from chipboard and covered it in paper and put glitter glaze on it. You also had to do some stitching...so I did some hand stitching around the cogs. Paper weaving was required, so I did just a little bit of that and she also wanted to have some ink on it. Here is what I came up with.

For this layout, I bought the new paper line Black Market Paper Society. I knew the pictures of the kids at the fountains this past week would be perfect. I did a little paper ruffling/folding on this one to give it a little more deminsion. I also got to use my new Threading Water punch!!

Hope everyone has a good week!!! Just 2 more weeks until the kids are officially "Pre-Kindergarten Students."
