Weight Loss

Many know that I have struggled with my weight for pretty much my entire life. When I was in high school, I went on a weight loss program and lost close to 60 lbs! Of course, once I started college, the weight started creeping back on. That weight crept back...along with A LOT more.

At the beginning of this year, I decided I could no longer deal with the extra weight. It was a struggle to be active with my kids and Zachary and Taylor are only getting bigger and becoming more active. I was tired of being out of breath everytime I walked up the stairs from our basement and just having that overall sluggish feeling on a daily basis.

I joined Weight Watchers in January and go every Saturday morning to the meetings. Without the meetings, I don't know if I could do this. I have tried doing Weight Watchers on my own in the past and have always given up after a few weeks or a month of it. I am proud to say that the only time I miss a Weight Watchers meeting is when we are out of town for a weekend!!! I have committed myself to this way of life and am so proud of myself!! Michael and I also started going to the Y everyday. We started this back in January too and just like my Weight Watchers meetings, the only times we have not gone is when we are out of town or if someone is sick. We go 5 days a week!! I have worked my way up on the Eliptical machine. I work out on it for 55 minutes and usually can get to 4.5 miles!!

In the 8 months I have been doing Weight Watchers, I have now lost 40 lbs!!! I now weigh less than I did when Michael and I got married...by just a few pounds!!! I still have a ways to go until I reach my lifetime goal, but I am getting closer and closer!!!

Here are a few pictures of me:

This is me last December...at my MOMs club Christmas party. This was a few weeks before I joined Weight Watchers.

I took this picture today. I still have a ways to go, but I am feeling good!!

One fun picture!! I wore these pants all the time last summer. When I got rid of a bunch of clothes a few months ago that I had shrunk out of, I kept this one pair so that I would be reminded of what I have accomplished!!
