Life As We Know It: Christmas Eve Recap!

I'm trying to catch up with everything, so I hopefully won't forget...of course, I'm almost a month behind. We had a nice Christmas Eve with one unpleasant surprise...Zachary ended up with a light stomach bug. Thankfully, he was only sick for a few hours. We didn't go to the Christmas Eve Service at church, but still had my mom, Darrell, Daniel and Delana over for Christmas Eve dinner.

There is no better way to start Christmas Eve day off! The kids decided first thing that they would open the presents they had bought for each other.

Zachary was happy with his Donkey Kong Country game...especially since Taylor and I had wrapped it in a shirt box and he thought he was getting clothes!

Taylor's present from Zachary wasn't a big surprise to her...he had spilled the beans the day before and told her what he bought her. If you ever want a secret kept, don't share it with Zachary! :o)

That evening, everyone came over for dinner and there were more presents! We celebrated with Daniel and Delana, Mom and Darrell.

The kids had just a few presents...considering most of the ones under and by the tree were for them.

Taylor got the doggie that poops! Mom bought it for her. She was so happy to get it...although she was a little worried that she was going to get 2. She had asked Santa for one. Grandma Joy explained to her that she had talked to Santa and had told him that she had bought it for Taylor and that Santa was okay with that.

Taylor "bought" mom a Christmas present from the Holiday Shop at school. She was so proud of her gifts that she purchased for all of us this year. They were funny too...the one to Grandma Joy was a flashlight that said, "Best Aunt" on it!
