Gifts!

I spent most of the end of last week making gifts! My mom's birthday was on Saturday and like most mom's she is so hard to buy for...but I always know she loves pictures of the kids. So, I had went to Hobby Lobby...one of my favorite places to just wonder around and I found this little hook shelf thing. I immediately knew I wanted to create her a photo flower garden from it. Here it is! I used DCWV Luxury papers that I got from Moments to Remember!!!

I also made the thank you gifts for Zachary and Taylor's Preschool teachers. I found these mugs at Hobby Lobby and thought they would be perfect!!

I hope that they like them!! I had a lot of fun making the flowers and putting it all together!!
In other scrapbooking news, I'm going to start sponsoring a new challenge/contest at Moments To Remember. Here's the link to it: http://www.moments-2-remember.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?t=6405&highlight=
This month is all about flowers!! I desperately want to plant a huge flower bed along the back of the house and so flowers are on my mind lately! The problem with the flower bed is that I love planting flowers, but have no idea how to actually put together a flower bed/garden or what would look good and in what order to plant things in the space I want them. So, in honor of me wanting a gorgeous flower bed in our backyard, I'm hosting this challenge that is all about FLOWERS!!!! Hope there are lots of people that decide to play along!!
Today, the weather was beautiful! We've had a lot of rain over the past few days, so it was nice to be able to actually go outside and let the kids play on their swingset. We bought Taylor a new bike helmet yesterday. They both got bikes with training wheels for their birthday and the helmet we bought for Taylor (that was 3+) was too small. So, her and Zachary were taking turns with his helmet. The new one is for ages 5+. She will tell you, "my helmet won't fit...I've got a big head." She just cracks me up! So, at least now she won't have to think that she has a big head and will have a helmet that actually fits! Another funny story from today is we were outside and the kids have a metal fire truck that they can ride in. They also have a gas pump that came with it. My grandma Pearl got it for them for Christmas. Anyway, they were taking turns riding in it and filling it up with "gas". When Taylor was riding in it, Zachary filled her up with gas...the put the gas nozzle by the tires and make a "shhh" sound....to funny! So, when he was done filling the truck up for her, he looked at her and said, "99 dollars!". I think he's heard me complain a few times at the real gas stations! So funny!
