Today was the kids first day of 2nd grade! It didn't start off well last night when I was trying to get the kids into the normal school night routine. Since we had been away from home the last week, we didn't really have any "trial runs" for school nights. Taylor was not happy that it was her last day of summer vacation. She was mad, had a few moments. Didn't want to take a shower, brush her teeth or get in her pjs...and her reason was that if she did all of that, it would definitely mean her summer was over and she wasn't ready to give it up!
Even though she let me know how unhappy she was last night, this morning she was up at 6:40 ready to start her day and go to school! Zachary was just easy going about it all (last night and this morning) and just went with the flow of things.
After everyone was ready, we went out to the front of the house for the traditional first day of school photos.
After a few photos, we were off to school. I took a few photos of them walking into the school and down the hall and by their desks.
I hope they are having wonderful first day of school.
