The Tea Party!

Today was the day that Aunt Terry threw a tea party for the kids. They have been looking forward to this since last year when she threw them a tea party. They always have so much fun!

(From left to right we have "Little Mermaid", Taylor as Sharpay from HSM, "Belle", "Captain Jack", and Zachary as a Pirate.

The kids started off the party with running through the house and playing. Then, it was time to eat lunch. Terry had outdone herself again this year with little cucumber and tomato sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches and several sides. There was also a fruit punch for the kids.

Each place setting had a special gift for each child.

I thought Taylor looked so cute and a little funny drinking her punch from a fancy punch glass with the straw!


And of course, a tea party isn't complete without the desserts! There were homemade truffles that Terry made...that were yummy! Cheesecake and these cute cupcakes for the kids!


After lunch, the kids played some games, sang some songs and then the sun decided to come out. It had rained all morning. So, after all the fun tea party activities were done, we headed to the pool!

I think Zachary and Taylor really believe that they are fish! They love being in the water and have absolutely no fear. If I would let them, they would have been jumping in the 8 ft deep area of the pool! But, instead they have to settle for the 3 ft area.

It was a fun day and I hope that Aunt Terry realizes that she will probably be throwing these kids tea parties until they are 20! They love them so much. In the car on the way home, Taylor asked when we would be going to another tea party at Aunt Terry's house!

Terry...I think you have started a tradition here! Thanks again for the fun time!
