Been a while

This past month has been so busy...I didn't realize it had been so long since my last update. July was definitely a busy month! Starting with all the 4th of July festivities, I went to Chicago to help out with 3 Bugs in a Rug at CHA and just all the little things inbetween!!! Last night, we took the kids to the fair. It was our first experience of going to the fair with the kids. They loved it!!! I was really hesitant to let them ride any of the rides...I can only imagine how well those are put together since it seems like they are just thrown up so quickly. But, they wanted to ride some of the kiddie rides, so I gave in. The first ride was the teacups.

After that, they were hooked! All I heard all night from both of them was, "one more game, mom...just one more game." So, they rode several of the rides and played duck pond a few times. Here are some pictures from the night!!

This was their first taste of rootbeer. I just thought it was cute that they shared their jug.
This was my favorite part of the night. Letting them ride the ponies. They loved it!! Taylor actually rode them twice. She had a smile plastered on her face the entire time. You would have thought she had been around horses her entire life. Zachary loved riding his pony too and at the end of the ride, he gave the pony a pet on the nose.
The one thing that Zachary wanted to do and we did not, was ride the Ferris Wheel. For some reason, he was infactuated with the thought of riding the Ferris Wheel...or as he called it, "the Wheely Wheel." The kids wanted to see and do everything. We definitely got a peek into what it will be like with them when we go to Disney World. I think they are going to have such a great time there...if the fair was any indication!!!!
