Sequiota

It was another gorgeous day out today, so I decided that instead of letting the kids play in our backyard, I would take them to one of the parks instead. On the way to the park, we passed by the house that has many Chlydsdale horses...they are so huge and so pretty!!! When we got to where they usually are, we didn't see any of them. As I got to the corner and stopped, two of the horsed stood up and Taylor was so excited. She told me, "The horses were sleeping...they were tired. They had a busy day!" Where they come up with some of this stuff...both kids just crack me up with some of the things that they say...especially when we are in the car! We headed on over to Sequiota Park, which is a beautiful park. It has a cave with a stream that runs out of it and into a pond. There are lots of ducks and geese...which freak me out, but they are fun to watch. The kids had a great time on the playgroud equipment and walking along the water. Here are a few pictures from our day!

If you look at this picture, you can see the water has a redness to it. Several months ago, there was a sink hole that collapsed that was somewhat near this area and when it collapsed the water that runs out of the cave was contaminated with a red silt. The water looked clear, but the bottom had the red stain to it.
